Some considerations for superior accuracy.......
The amount of light given off by the reaction of Ozone (O3) and Nitric Oxide (NO) is directly proportionate to the concentration. At least that’s the way it’s supposed to work. There are a couple of variables that must be figured into that statement. Since the NOx analyzers for the most part work in the vacuum mode, correct vacuum pull is a major consideration. Since all NOx analyzers utilize capillaries or orifice setup to maintain a ratio of NO to O3 correct vacuum is required to achieve critical velocity. Critical velocity occurs 25 inches of HG (mercury) below that accuracy suffers.

Pumps
Datatek relies on pumps that work in harsh conditions, not all material are compatible with process streams. Pumps must be able to maintain a head temperature while diaphragms and piston seals have to withstand different conditions such as acids or Ozone. Datatek relies on KNF and Thomas pumps for durability and ease of maintainence. Datatek also can provide CNC pump heads in more resistant and specialized materials.
Nox Exhaust Stream Scrubber
Nox Analyzers require the correct ratio of Ozone to Nitric Oxide to maintain linearity. To accomplish this they utilize orifice or capillary tubing. Ozone is always supplied in a much greater concentration than what is actually consumed by the reaction. Typically the exhaust see’s a O3 concentration of over 1000 ppm or enough to destroy most plastics, pump diaphragms, fabrics, paints and metal. Our scrubber is available with controller or self limiting, DIN rail mount kit.

Activated Charcoal extruded
Charcoal offers another method of scrubbing exhaust streams. Keep in mind that if you are using Charcoal in the vacuum mode, there are a few things to remember. When Ozone is scrubbed by using Charcoal the charcoal becomes exothermic. Opening a Charcoal canister when operated the vacuum mode can cause fires or small explosions. Datatek supplies low iodine, extruded activated Charcoal. Minimum dust content keeps filters from clogging and low iodine keeps exothermic activity to a minimum.
